Pension Credits
If you think you or your relatives may be entitled to pension credits then please apply for them. We understand that some older pensioners are having difficulties dealing with the applications especially online and that it is long winded. Please see the article below and links to how you can apply.

Other benefits and programs for pensioners
There are a number of programs and benefits available for pensioners in the UK, including:
Pension Credit: Provides extra money to help with living costs and housing costs for those over State Pension age and on a low income. In 2024, the weekly rate for Pension Credit is £227.10 for single people and £346.60 for those with a partner.
Attendance Allowance: A state benefit for those over pension age who need personal care or supervision due to a physical or mental disability. The weekly rate is £72.65 or £108.55, depending on needs.
Over 80 pension: A State Pension for people aged 80 or over who receive a basic State Pension of less than £101.55 a week, or no basic State Pension at all. In the 2024 to 2025 tax year, the weekly rate is £101.55.
Free prescriptions: Anyone over 60 receives free prescriptions from the NHS.
Free NHS eyesight test: Anyone over 60 is eligible for a free NHS eyesight test.
Free NHS flu vaccine: Anyone aged 65 or over is eligible for the free NHS flu vaccine.
